"We started using the Muscle Kneader at Stevenson University during the Spring of 2011. The first patient to use it was a men’s lacrosse athlete who was rehabbing from an Achilles tendon rupture and repair surgery. We tried it on him first because he was having issues with pain over the incision site with the traditional foam rollers and massage sticks we have on hand. Right away we noticed a difference with his pain and were able to do a better job with breaking up scar tissue around his incision and repair site. What he liked most about it was the fact that the outer material provided a nice cushion on his scar site compared to the harder traditional foam roller.
From that point on, we added it to the arsenal of soft tissue mobilization tools that we use on a daily basis. It has a prominent spot on the shelf next to the rest of the “hurts so good” torture devices as the athletes refer to them.
What I like most about the Muscle Kneader is its versatility. It can be used as either a foam roller or a massage stick which makes it great for travel. This was the only soft tissue mobilization tool that we packed in our trunks for football road trips this season.
The bottom line is this; we get great results with the Muscle Kneader at Stevenson University. I’ve already been mentioning it to my friends and colleagues as something they need to check out."
